Soccer Recap: Somerset Takes a Loss

Somerset entered their matchup against Westmont Hilltop on Monday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Eagles fell just short of the Hilltoppers by a score of 2-1. Somerset fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against Westmont Hilltop since Monday.

Somerset's goal came courtesy of Rodney Garwood, who's now up to six this season.

Somerset's defeat was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 10-1 and their overall record down to 10-2. As for Westmont Hilltop, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-1-2.
