Softball Recap: Isabelle Berg and Lola Schwarz Secure Win for Oregon

Oregon's rock-solid pitcher showed up for the team's third consecutive shutout on Tuesday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lutheran Crusaders a 15-0 shutout. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Crusaders recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.

Brooke Halverson made a big impact no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out nine over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than one walk in ten consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one RBI.

In other batting news, Oregon let Lola Schwarz and Isabelle Berg run wild. Schwarz went 2-for-3 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI, while Berg went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and two doubles. Schwarz has been hot recently, having also posted at least one stolen base the last three times she's played. Another player making a difference was Abree Barker, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI.

Oregon kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in six consecutive matchups.

Oregon's record now sits at 13-4. As for Lutheran, they dropped their record down to 0-9 with the defeat, which was their 17th straight on the road dating back to last season.
