Recap: Apollo Hawks vs. Casa Grande Cougars
It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but the Apollo Hawks had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 56-21 win over Casa Grande at home. Considering Apollo has won ten matches by more than 20 points this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Adam Mohammed continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, rushing for 192 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 11.3 yards per carry. Mohammed is on a roll when it comes to rushing touchdowns, as he's now punched in two or more in the last eight games he's played.
The win was the ninth in a row for Apollo, bringing their record for this year to 10-1. They've been dominating during the contests in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 36.89 points. As for Casa Grande, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-4.
Apollo will be playing at home against Campo Verde at 7:00 p.m. on November 17th. Campo Verde is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Casa Grande does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
