Softball Recap: Federal Way Comes Up Short

Federal Way lost against Enumclaw back in April of 2019, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Federal Way came up short against Enumclaw, falling 20-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered against the Hornets since May 3, 2017.

This is the second loss in a row for Federal Way and nudges their season record down to 1-4. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.0 runs over those games. As for Enumclaw, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 5-2.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Federal Way is set to face off against their familiar foe White River at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Enumclaw will challenge rival Decatur at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
