Baseball Recap: Streator Takes a Loss

Streator was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 4-1 to the Lisle Lions. That's two games in a row now that the Bulldogs have lost by exactly three runs.

Streator saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Colin Byers, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Cole Winterrowd also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Streator's defeat dropped their record down to 10-15. As for Lisle, the win snapped their losing streak at 17 games and leaves them with a 2-19-1 record.

While Streator had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
