The St. Henry Redskins will venture away from home to face off against the Parkway Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. St. Henry has now lost eight straight, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 9th.
St. Henry managed to slip by Marion Local the last time these teams faced off, but didn't have those same answers this time around. The Redskins came up short against the Flyers on Tuesday, falling 10-3.
St. Henry saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Alexis Buschur, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. That double marked the first that Buschur has hit this season.
Meanwhile, Parkway posted their closest win since April 7th on Wednesday. They skirted past Elida 12-11. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Izzy Knapke looked comfortable as she tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than one hit any time she's pitched this season.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on KJae Stover, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave her a new career-high. Emmery Temple was another key player, going 3-for-5 with two RBI and one double.
Parkway was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .417. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .333 or higher in four consecutive games.
St. Henry's defeat dropped their record down to 3-13. As for Parkway, their record is now 15-2.
St. Henry might still be hurting after the 19-5 loss they got from Parkway in their previous meeting back in May of 2025. Can the Redskins avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
