Recap: Merritt Island Mustangs vs. Satellite Scorpions        
        
		
            
 After having lost a blowout in their  previous game against Rockledge, The Merritt Island Mustangs were happy to have found some success  on Friday. They came out on top against Satellite by a score of  38-28. This was payback for Merritt Island, who suffered a  22-14  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Merritt Island can attribute much of their success to  Chris Kelly, who rushed for 196 yards and  a touchdown. Kelly was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash  that went for 58 yards. Another player making a difference was  Ryder Varis, who picked up 72 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
 Satellite's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performance. Perhaps the best among them was   Noah Flores, who rushed for 65 yards and  a touchdown on only nine carries.  Atticus Henderson made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
 Merritt Island's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Satellite,  this is  the second loss in a row for them and  nudges their season record down to 5-4.
 Merritt Island will be playing in front of their home fans against Eustis at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Eustis is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road. As for Satellite, they will  take on Palm Bay at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another  in Florida (Palm Bay is ranked 153rd, while Satellite is ranked 170th).
