Football Recap: Pasadena Starts off Right with Win over Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary

Pasadena gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Friday. They took their contest with ease, bagging a 42-3 win over the Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary Cardinals. This was payback for the Bulldogs, who suffered a 24-14 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dutch Burbidge had a dynamite game, throwing for 294 yards and four TDs while picking up 12.8 yards per attempt, and also punching in one touchdown on the ground. Those four passing touchdowns gave him a new career-high. Kyle Robinson was in the mix too, providing Pasadena with two scores.

Pasadena didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Daniel Freeman and Damari Pitts.

Coming up, Pasadena will be playing at home against San Dimas at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Cantwell-Sacred Heart of Mary, they will head out to challenge Montebello at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
