 River Forest can now show off nine landslide victories after their most recent  game  on Friday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lake Station Edison Fighting Eagles  a   7-0 shutout. This was a revenge  matchup for River Forest, as the team was forced to settle for  a  5-4 loss when these two played  last Wednesday.
  Kaleb Short made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only one  hit while striking out 20 over seven innings pitched. Short has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in seven consecutive pitching appearances. Short was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, a  run,  and  an  RBI.
 In other batting news,  Johnny Brock was  excellent,  scoring a  run while going 2-for-3.  Devin Rosenfeld was another key contributor,  scoring a  run and  stealing a base while going 2-for-3.
 River Forest has  been performing  well recently as they've  won five of their last six matches,  which provided a nice bump to their 12-7 record  this season. As for Lake Station Edison, they dropped their record down to 4-10 with that  defeat, which was their third straight  on the road.
 River Forest will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Calumet New Tech at 5:00  p.m. River Forest is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.1  runs per game  this season. As for Lake Station Edison, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Hammond Central at 4:45  p.m.  on Thursday.
