Baseball Recap: Rushville-Industry Has No Trouble Against Liberty

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Rushville-Industry had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They were the clear victors by an 8-0 margin over the Liberty Eagles. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 back in April.

Not much got past Macon Kessler, who gave up just three hits and racked up 16 Ks to keep Liberty off the board. Kessler has been consistent for a while: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in nine consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Rylan Reimolds was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in March.

The win got Rushville-Industry back to even at 11-11. As for Liberty, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-11.

As of now, neither Rushville-Industry nor the Eagles have any future games scheduled.
