Softball Recap: Rancho Bernardo Gets the Win

Rancho Bernardo saw some tournament action on Saturday. They came out on top against the Imperial Tigers by a score of 5-1. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Broncos.

Charlotte Savarese made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She tossed four innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three RBI. Those three RBI gave her a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ellery Housand was excellent, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double.

Rancho Bernardo now has a winning record of 2-1.

Looking ahead, Rancho Bernardo will take on Coastal Academy in a tournament on Monday. As for Imperial, they will be taking part in a tournament against Otay Ranch at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday.
