Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Fruitland). They walked away with a 25-20 victory over the McCall-Donnelly Vandals on Monday. With that win, the Grizzlies brought their scoring average up to 6.8 runs per game.

Faith Newman was a standout: she got on base in five of her six plate appearances with five runs, two RBI, and one double. Those five runs gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Macy Kile, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with four runs, two stolen bases, and one double.

The victory snapped Fruitland's losing streak at five games and leaves them with a 7-10 record. As for McCall-Donnelly, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-14.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Vandals beat Fruitland by a score of 19-6 on Wednesday.
