When it comes to explaining why Springfield Southeast lost, one person who can't be blamed is Marisa Gant. Despite the final result, she scored 16 points along with three steals. Gant hasn't dropped below two steals for nine straight games. Another player making a difference was Zaria Weston, who scored nine points.
Springfield Southeast has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-14 record this season. As for Sacred Heart-Griffin, the win was the eighth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 17-8.
