Volleyball Recap: Cicero-North Syracuse Snags Eighth Victory in Last Nine Games

Shenendehowa came into Saturday's contest looking for another win against Cicero-North Syracuse, but Jack Copeland wouldn't allow it. The Northstars put the hurt on the Plainsmen with a sharp 3-0 victory on Saturday for which the team can thank Copeland, who had nine kills, six digs, and one block. He has been hot, having posted nine or more kills the last six times he's played.

While Cicero-North Syracuse won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-22, 25-13.

Cicero-North Syracuse's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Kevin Greer, who had five digs, two aces, and one block. Ryan Leahey was another key player, getting eight kills and four blocks.

Cicero-North Syracuse is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-4 record this season. As for Shenendehowa, they now have a losing record of 0-1-1.

Looking ahead, Cicero-North Syracuse will be playing in front of their home fans against Liverpool at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Shenendehowa does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
