It was a proper cat-fight when Pomperaug faced off against Brookfield on Tuesday. The Panthers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Bobcats. The victory continues a trend for the Panthers in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now won six in a row.

Pomperaug was especially dominant in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-17, 25-13.

Pomperaug found their leader in sophomore Sawyer Rayno, who had ten digs and three assists.

Pomperaug was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 12 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in April.

Pomperaug pushed their record up to 11-5 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. As for Brookfield, they have been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last nine matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-11 record this season.

Pomperaug will face off against Joel Barlow at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Falcons will roll in looking for their seventh straight victory, something the Panthers surely won't give up without a fight. As for Brookfield, they will take on New Milford at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Bobcats are facing the Green Wave at the right time seeing as the Green Wave are stuck on a six-game losing streak.
