Softball Recap: Hoover Huskies vs. Lewis County Minutemen
Hoover put the finishing touches on their 13th blowout victory of the season on Thursday. They never let the Lewis County Minutemen onto the board and left with an 11-0 win. The victory was nothing new for Hoover as they're now sitting on eight straight.
Sadi Wehrle and Ayva Veltri did most of the damage at the plate: Wehrle went 3-for-4 with a triple, two RBI, and a run, while Veltri went 2-for-3 with four RBI, a triple, and a run. Another player making a difference was Bella Haas, who scored two runs while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.
Hoover's win was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 24-2. As for Lewis County, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-7.
As of now, neither Hoover nor Lewis County have any future games scheduled.
