Volleyball Recap: Athens Drive Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Athens Drive lost against Broughton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Jaguars came up short against the Capitals, falling 3-0.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-6, 25-16.

Mason Fernandez paced Athens Drive's offense, picking up six kills. Fernandez got some help from Annie Baublitz and her 11 assists.

Athens Drive's defeat was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-16. As for Broughton, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 14-3.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Athens Drive will square off against rival Wakefield at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Broughton is set to take on their familiar foe Leesville Road at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
