Softball Recap: Brookfield Drops Highest Score of Season Against Harding

Brookfield scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They fell just short of the Harding Raiders by a score of 12-11. The defeat continues a trend for the Warriors in their meetings with the Raiders: they've now lost three in a row.

Mya Jumper made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and five RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Grace Teal, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI.

Brookfield's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Harding, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 8-11.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Brookfield will challenge Newton Falls at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. The Warriors are facing the Tigers at the right time seeing as the Tigers are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Harding, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cardinal Mooney at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
