Football Game Preview: Bunn Wildcats vs. Nash Central Bulldogs + How To Watch

The Bunn Wildcats are taking a road trip to square off against the Nash Central Bulldogs at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Keep an eye on the score for this one: the two teams posted some lofty point totals in their previous games.

Nash Central will take on a team with plenty of momentum: Bunn extended their winning streak to three on Friday. The Wildcats blew past Wake Prep Academy 52-20. The Wildcats pushed the score to 38-12 by the end of the third, a deficit the Guardians had little chance of recovering from.

Bunn's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Josiah Rice led the charge by throwing for 301 yards and five TDs on only 13 passes, while also rushing for 32 yards. Those 32 rushing yards gave Rice a new career-high. Tyler Perry also helped with two scores in total.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Bunn was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 300 rushing yards. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 76.8 rushing yards per game earlier this season, but in their last five contests they've averaged 191.

Nash Central not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since September 26, 2024 (when they won 42-0). They put the hurt on Roanoke Rapids with a sharp 47-21 win. The Bulldogs haven't had any issues with the Yellowjackets recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive victory against them.

Bunn better keep an eye on Taliek Morris. He was instrumental in Nash Central's win, rushing for 116 yards and four touchdowns on only 14 carries. ZaQuez Britt also helped out as he racked up 104 rushing yards.

Bunn's record is now 5-2. As for Nash Central, their record now sits at 2-5.

Bunn suffered a grim 38-14 defeat to Nash Central in their previous meeting back in October of 2024. Thankfully for the Wildcats, James 'Rocket' Rodgers (who rushed for 164 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry, and also caught one score) won't be suiting up this time.
