Basketball Recap: Trinity Catholic Continues Home Dominance on Tuesday

Trinity Catholic extended their home winning streak to five games thanks to a huge performance from Alessa Washington. The Trinity Catholic Celtics enjoyed a cozy 58-43 victory over the Victory Christian Academy Storm on Tuesday thanks in part to Washington, who posted 17 points along with five boards and five steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in November of 2024.

Ja'Niya Corbin was another key player, putting up 18 points in addition to six rebounds and five steals. Her evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points.

Victory Christian Academy's loss came despite strong showings from Bianca Barroso and Jade Grier. Barroso went 7 of 14 en route to 18 points along with eight boards and three steals, while Grier went 5 for 8 on her way to 15 points and five rebounds. Barroso is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last four games she's played.

Trinity Catholic's record is now 12-7. As for Victory Christian Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-9.

Trinity Catholic is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 52.1 points per game this season.
