Prairie Heights and Churubusco are an even 5-5 against one another since May of 2017, but likely not for long. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Eagles at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Prairie Heights is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They were the clear victors by a 16-2 margin over Elkhart Christian Academy on Saturday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Panthers.
Emily McCrea made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. What's more, she posted four strikeouts, the most she's had since back in April. She was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four stolen bases, and five RBI.

In other batting news, Prairie Heights got a massive performance out of Addison Wells, who went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, three runs, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Wells a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Bailee Godsey, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, one stolen base, and two RBI.
Prairie Heights always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .531. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, after only two runs in their last game, Churubusco made sure to put some runs up on the board against Lakewood Park Christian on Monday. The Eagles put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 17-1 victory. The Eagles have beaten the Panthers the last five times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Panthers has come to flipping the script.
Prairie Heights' win bumped their record up to 5-9. As for Churubusco, their victory bumped their record up to 12-7.
