Baseball Recap: Southern Maryland Christian Academy Starts Season with Defeat at Home

Southern Maryland Christian Academy unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They lost 10-3 to the Trinity Christian Gryphons on Friday. Sadly, the defeat continues a streak the team started last season, making it 11 in a row.

Southern Maryland Christian Academy saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Mark Williams Jr, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southern Maryland Christian Academy will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockbridge Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 20th. As for Trinity Christian, they will challenge Highland at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
