Basketball Recap: St. Charles East Extends Home Winning Streak to 11

St. Charles East had won ten straight home games dating back to last season and Sofia O?Sullivan did her part to make it 11 on Friday. The St. Charles East Fighting Saints managed a 53-49 win over the St. Charles North North Stars thanks in part to O?Sullivan, who went 7 of 15 en route to 20 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. The dominant performance gave her a new career-high in points.

The team also got some help courtesy of Kathlyn Bainbridge, who posted three points. She also posted a block, marking her first of the season.

St. Charles East is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 13 matches, which provided a nice bump to their 21-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for St. Charles North, their loss dropped their record down to 20-6.

Coincidentally, St. Charles East and St. Charles North will both be playing Batavia the next time they take the court. St. Charles North will host Batavia at 7:15 p.m. on Tuesday, while St. Charles East will head out to face them at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday.
