Recap: St. George's vs. Oak Mountain Academy Warriors
St. George lost against the Oak Mountain Academy Warriors last Thursday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. St. George's took a 47-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Oak Mountain Academy. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for St. George's in their matchups with Oak Mountain Academy: they've now lost three in a row.
Oak Mountain Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jeb Harper led the charge by scoring eight points along with 18 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Yann Kelp, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
St. George's has not been sharp recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-10 record this season. As for Oak Mountain Academy, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.
St. George's will head out on the road to take on Flint River Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oak Mountain Academy, they will be playing at home against LaGrange Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. LaGrange Academy is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses.
