Softball Game Preview: Lee Academy Pandas vs. Searsport Vikings

The Lee Academy Pandas will face off against the Searsport Vikings at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. Lee Academy will be strutting in after a victory while Searsport will be coming in after a loss.

If Lee Academy beats Searsport with 18 runs on Monday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two matches with that exact score. Everything went the Pandas' way against Woodland on Monday as they made off with an 18-1 win. That 17 run margin sets a new team best for the Pandas this season.

Meanwhile, Searsport was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Bucksport, falling 27-0. The game marked the first time this year in which the Vikings were not able to get on the board.

Lee Academy now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Searsport, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

Everything went Lee Academy's way against Searsport in their previous matchup last Friday, as Lee Academy made off with an 18-8 victory. Will the Pandas repeat their success, or do the Vikings have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
