Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hamburg). They blew past the Antietam Mountaineers 16-3 on Friday. The Hawks haven't had any issues with the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive win against them.

Ethan Horvath looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits.

Hamburg's victory bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Antietam, they dropped their record down to 1-7 with the loss, which was their seventh straight on the road.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hamburg will take on Nativity BVM at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Green Wave have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 7.25 runs per game on average), something the Hawks will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Antietam, they will look to defend their home field on Monday against Wyomissing at 4:00 p.m. The Mountaineers' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Spartans have averaged an impressive 6.1 runs per game this season.
