It was a proper cat-fight when Palmetto challenged Killian on Thursday. The Panthers put the hurt on the Cougars with a sharp 42-21 win. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Several Cougars players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kayron Bryant, who rushed for 151 yards and one TD while picking up 8.4 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Anton Smith, who gained 136 total yards and a touchdown.

Palmetto's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Killian, their loss was their first of the season and also makes their record 3-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Palmetto will square off against Coral Gables at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Killian, they will take on Gulliver Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Cougars their first taste of in-conference action this season.
