Softball Recap: Georgetown Visitation Prep Comes Up Short

If Georgetown Visitation Prep was riding high fresh off their 17-0 takedown of School Without Walls last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Cubs came up short against the Flint Hill Huskies on Tuesday, falling 6-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Cubs were not able to get on the board.

Sami Farmer spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned (and three unearned) runs on six hits.

On the hitting side, Georgetown Visitation Prep saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Lucie Touomou, who went 1-for-3 with one double.

Georgetown Visitation Prep's defeat dropped their record down to 2-3. As for Flint Hill, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Coming up, Georgetown Visitation Prep will challenge Saint John Paul the Great Catholic at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Flint Hill, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 6-2 loss against National Cathedral on the 3rd.
