Basketball Recap: Patchogue-Medford Sets Scoring Season-High Against William Floyd

Patchogue-Medford was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 50-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of the William Floyd Colonials. One positive for the Raiders, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

William Floyd found their leader in sophomore Savannah Pantry, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 16 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Pantry has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taleah Coppola, who posted seven points and three steals.

Patchogue-Medford's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for William Floyd, they pushed their record up to 7-8 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

Patchogue-Medford will venture away from home to challenge Walt Whitman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for William Floyd, they will host Longwood at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
