Recap: Eureka Loggers vs. McKinleyville Panthers

The Eureka Loggers came tearing into Saturday's game with three straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 52.3 points) and they left with even more momentum. They walked away with a 66-55 victory over McKinleyville. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.

Jahmil Rippy continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 20 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Elijah Estrada, who scored 16 points along with seven rebounds.

Eureka's victory was their fifth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 74.0 points per game. As for McKinleyville, their loss dropped their record down to 8-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Eureka will challenge Ukiah at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. McKinleyville is on the road again on Friday and play against Kelseyville at 5:30 p.m. on December 22nd.
