Football Game Preview: Lompoc Braves vs. Central Valley Christian Cavaliers + Official Tickets

The Lompoc Braves are taking a road trip to challenge the Central Valley Christian Cavaliers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Lompoc has given up an average of 27.9 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

On Friday, Lompoc was just a hair shy of victory and fell 34-33 to Paso Robles. The Braves have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Trevor Thompson, who threw for 159 yards and four touchdowns. Kasch Kubasiewicz was in the mix as well, providing Lompoc with two TDs.

Meanwhile, while Central Valley Christian put up plenty of points on Thursday, the same can't be said for Reedley. The Cavaliers claimed a resounding 42-0 win over the Pirates. Given the Cavaliers' advantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 258th, while the Pirates are ranked 543rd) , the win wasn't entirely unexpected.

Lompoc's loss dropped their record down to 6-4. As for Central Valley Christian, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a massive bump to their 4-6 record this season.
