Soccer Game Preview: Ocean Lakes vs. Maury

The Ocean Lakes Dolphins will head out to face off against the Maury Commodores at 5:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Ocean Lakes comes in on three and Maury on six.

Ocean Lakes proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by four) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They never let Grassfield get on the board and left with a 1-0 victory. Given Ocean Lakes' advantage in MaxPreps' Virginia soccer rankings (they are ranked third, while Grassfield are ranked 30th) , the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Maury made easy work of Manor on Wednesday and carried off a 10-1 win. Maury might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six games by three goals or more this season.

Their offense was hitting Manor from everywhere, as seven different players booted in a goal. Kaelyn Grochowski led that balanced group of strikers and accounted for two goals all by herself.

Maury's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for Ocean Lakes, their win bumped their record up to 4-1.
