Softball Recap: Covenant Day Snaps Eight-Game Streak of Wins on the Road

Covenant Day blew Charlotte Christian out of the water the last time the pair played, but on Tuesday Charlotte Christian got their revenge. The Lions fell just short of the Knights by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest loss the Lions have suffered since April 17, 2024.

Covenant Day saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Reilly Jane (RJ) Llaneza, who went 2-for-3 with two runs, one double, and one RBI.

Covenant Day's defeat ended an eight-game streak of away wins and brought them to 16-5-1. As for Charlotte Christian, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 9-6 record.

Covenant Day didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next matchup, a 6-2 victory against Charlotte Latin on the 24th. As for Charlotte Christian, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 14-0 win against Charlotte Country Day School on the 24th.
