Blooming Grove took Maypearl into a fifth set where they got it done with a eight-point win. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-16, 19-25, 23-25, 15-7.
The victory snapped Blooming Grove's winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 15-12 record. As for Maypearl, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 12 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-17 record this season.
