Baseball Game Preview: Providence School Stallions vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles

For the second straight game, Providence School will face off against Episcopal School of Jacksonville. The Stallions will welcome the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The timing isn't great for Providence School: they have been struggling with three straight losses at home, while Episcopal School of Jacksonville has snatched up seven consecutive wins on the road.

Providence School heads in on the heels of a playoff contest on Tuesday. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 3-2 to Episcopal School of Jacksonville, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Surprisingly, this marked the Stallions' fifth straight game in which the away team has come away the victor.

For Episcopal School of Jacksonville's part, Dominic DeLoreto spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on one hit and racked up 13 Ks. DeLoreto has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in six consecutive appearances.

Providence School's loss dropped their record down to 15-13. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 23-6 record this season.
