Football Game Preview: C. Milton Wright Mustangs vs. Bel Air Bobcats

The C. Milton Wright Mustangs will face off against the Bel Air Bobcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. C. Milton Wright's defense has only allowed 10.1 points per game this season, so Bel Air's offense will have their work cut out for them.

C. Milton Wright is probably headed into the contest with a chip on their shoulder considering Edgewood just ended the team's four-game winning streak on Thursday. They were beaten by the Rams 29-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Mustangs were not able to get on the board.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bel Air). They walked away with a 34-27 victory over Patterson Mill on Friday. The Bobcats haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Bel Air didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as DJ Webster, Jayon Brown, and John Johnson picked up one apiece. Brown is also on a roll when it comes to total tackles, as he's now made five or more in each of the last three games he's played. Bel Air received some extra help from Brown, whose fumble return for a touchdown made for one of the most unforgettable moments.

Bel Air's first victory this season bumped their record up to 1-6. As for C. Milton Wright, they suffered their first road loss, dropping their record down to 5-2.

C. Milton Wright came out on top in a nail-biter against Bel Air in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, sneaking past 14-12. Do the Mustangs have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Bobcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
