Mount Vernon found a leader in Dawson Witherspoon as the squad took down Rains on Friday. Witherspoon made a splash, rushing for 170 yards and five TDs while picking up 7.1 yards per carry. He played a big game the last time he faced Rains back in October of 2024, so the team probably should've seen him coming.
