Needham entered their tilt with Concord-Carlisle on Friday with eight consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with nine. They never let the Patriots get on the board and left with a 12-0 win. The result was nothing new for the Rockets, who have now won nine contests by seven runs or more so far this season.

Audrey Muzikant made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with three RBI.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Maddie Navales, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kaitlyn Cheng, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Needham was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .464. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .308 or higher in six consecutive games.

Needham's victory bumped their record up to 13-2. As for Concord-Carlisle, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Coming up, Needham will be playing in front of their home fans against Braintree at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Concord-Carlisle, they will head out to take on Acton-Boxborough at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
