Softball Recap: Washington Academy Has No Trouble Against Foxcroft Academy

Washington Academy barely beat Foxcroft Academy the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Raiders put the hurt on the Ponies with a sharp 11-1 victory on Friday. Considering the Raiders' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

The team relied heavily on Grace Howard, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Those three hits gave her a new career-high. Avery Libby was another key player, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Washington Academy now has a winning record of 2-1. As for Foxcroft Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 3-2.
