Volleyball Recap: Sayville Extends Winning Streak to Five

Sayville waltzed into their match on Wednesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They put the hurt on the Miller Place Panthers with a sharp 3-0 win. The Golden Flashes not only won on Wednesday, but they posted their biggest win since October 8th (when they won 3-0).

While Sayville won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-15, 25-22, 25-21.

Sayville found their leader in freshman Jenna Brown, who had nine digs and five aces. Isabella Cabrera also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Sayville was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 20 aces. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their ace total in three consecutive matchups.

Sayville's victory bumped their record up to 17-4-1. As for Miller Place, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-2.

As of now, neither Sayville nor the Panthers have any future games scheduled.
