Basketball Recap: Theodore Wilson Key Part of a Team Effort in Rams Win

Rampart lost to Pine Creek back in February of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Friday. The Rampart Rams managed an 82-78 victory over the Pine Creek Eagles. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rams.

Rampart's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Theodore Wilson, who went 6 of 12 on his way to 20 points. Wilson is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Elias Bishop, who posted 19 points and six boards.

Rampart smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've posted since back in February of 2024.

Defeat or not, Pine Creek got some senior leadership from Blake Marshall and Kyler Chatman. Marshall went 9 for 20 en route to 27 points and six rebounds, while Chatman went 7 of 17 on his way to 23 points and five steals. Those five steals set a new season-high mark for Chatman. Luke Wright was another key player, putting up eight points and five assists.

Rampart is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-6 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.8 points per game. As for Pine Creek, their loss dropped their record down to 8-8.

When Rampart and Pine Creek next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Rampart will challenge Pueblo West and their three-game winning streak at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Rampart is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 65.2 points per game this season. Similarly, Pine Creek will try to stop Doherty's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
