Football Game Preview: Pine Ridge Panthers vs. Deltona Wolves

The Pine Ridge Panthers are taking a road trip to square off against the Deltona Wolves at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Pine Ridge hasn't scored more than 13 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Pine Ridge's usually-dominant defense will be looking to make up for Tuesday's struggle, when Spruce Creek offense got past them. The Panthers took a blow against the Hawks on Tuesday, falling 33-0. While losing is never fun, the Panthers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 225th, while the Hawks are ranked 21st).

Deltona hadn't beaten Seabreeze on the road since April 22, 2021 but that history sure didn't bother them on Monday. The Wolves walked away with a 19-6 win over the Sandcrabs. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Sandcrabs recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Pine Ridge's loss dropped their record down to 7-7. As for Deltona, their win bumped their record up to 7-4.

Pine Ridge came up short against Deltona in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 12-6. Can the Panthers avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
