Jace Waggoner Earns League's Top Spot
Starting off the list is Tri-Valley's Jace Waggoner, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Waggoner's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his third straight game with at least 213 rushing yards dating back to last season.
On the season, Waggoner has thrown 10 touchdowns (and and only 1 pick) while averaging 76.6 passing yards per game.

Owen Hatfield and Co. Win Fourth in a Row
Council picked up their fourth consecutive win on Friday thanks in part to Owen Hatfield. Hatfield turned in nothing short of a gem, rushing for 183 yards and five touchdowns while picking up 8.3 yards per carry, and also throwing for 138 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes.
Council's win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Hatfield and Council will head out on the road to face off against Cascade at 3:30 p.m. on Friday.

Olson Came Up Big in Cascade's 36-14 Victory
Cascade found a leader in Cole Olson as the team took down Horseshoe Bend on Friday. Nobody could stop Olson as he rushed for 195 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries. He also deserves a shoutout for his performance on D, picking up two sacks and making eight total tackles.
Cascade's win was their fourth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-1. Olson and Cascade will look to defend their home field on Friday against Council at 3:30 p.m.

Garden Valley was sadly handed a loss on Friday, but Trevor Corn did his best to prevent it. Council had no answer to Corn as he rushed for 140 yards and a touchdown while picking up 8.2 yards per carry.
The defeat snapped Garden Valley's winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 4-1 record. Corn will try to repeat (or improve) on that dominant effort when he faces off against Tri-Valley on Friday.

Stuart Derrick Goes Supernova in Cascade Victory
The second Cascade player making an appearance here is Stuart Derrick, and for good reason. He rushed for 138 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. His longest rush was for an impressive 57 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total.
This season, Derrick has thrown 6 touchdowns while averaging 94 passing yards per game.
