Basketball Recap: Fairfield Central Extends Winning Streak to Three

Fairfield Central entered their tilt with Columbia on Friday with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. They managed a 46-42 victory over the Columbia Capitals. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 54-47 back in November of 2024.

Rashawn Brown was his usual excellent self, going 6 of 13 en route to 20 points in addition to five assists and five rebounds. Another player making a difference was Thomas Johnson, who posted 12 points and six boards.

Fairfield Central now has a winning record of 7-6. As for Columbia, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-13.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fairfield Central will square off against Mid-Carolina at 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Columbia, they will challenge Chester at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
