Volleyball Recap: Centaurus Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Centaurus lost against Horizon back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Warriors fell 3-1 to the Hawks. While the Warriors didn't get the win, they did start the game off strong, beating the Hawks 25-20 in the first set.

Centaurus came incredibly close to winning: the sets they lost were decided by three points or less. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 20-25, 25-22, 25-23, 25-23.

Horizon can attribute much of their success to Sarah Vaness, who had 11 digs and two aces. What's more, Vaness posted four assists, the most she's had over her last eight contests.

Centaurus has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Horizon, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-6.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Centaurus will challenge rival Holy Family at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Horizon is set to take on their familiar foe Silver Creek at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
