Baseball Recap: Central Valley Bears vs. Gonzaga Prep Bullpups

Central Valley extended their losing streak to seven on Thursday, dropping them down to 3-10. They lost 11-3 to the Gonzaga Prep Bullpups. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bullpups this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 14-4 on Tuesday.

As for Gonzaga Prep, the win (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 10-2-1. The result was nothing new for the Bullpups, who have now won seven contests by six runs or more so far this season.

For Gonzaga Prep's part, Cole Comfort was a standout: he went 1-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and one stolen base. Those three runs gave Comfort a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Anthony Karis, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with one home run and two runs.
