Basketball Recap: Ocean County Christian Academy Comes Up Short

Ocean County Christian Academy was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat. They were five points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 33-28 heartbreaker at the hands of the Solid Rock Christian School Swordsmen. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against Solid Rock Christian School this season, with their most recent loss being a 41-27 defeat last Saturday.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Solid Rock Christian School to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josh Bewley, who shot 56% from the field en route to 14 points and six rebounds. Drew Reese was another key player, putting up nine points.

Ocean County Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Solid Rock Christian School, their win was their eighth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2.

Ocean County Christian Academy has already played their next game, a 30-17 defeat against Solid Rock Christian School on the 7th. As for Solid Rock Christian School, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 35-26 loss against Varsity Opponent on the 7th.
