Football Recap: Lawrence County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Lawrence County played a tough matchup on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against the West Point Warriors, falling 41-8. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Red Devils have suffered against the Warriors since September 13, 2019.

It was another big night for Ollie Howell, who rushed for 124 yards and three TDs for West Point. Those three rushing touchdowns gave Howell a new career-high.

This is the second loss in a row for Lawrence County and nudges their season record down to 1-3. As for West Point, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

Looking ahead, Lawrence County will challenge Fairview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Red Devils will need to watch out since the Aggies have now posted at least 31 points every time they've taken the field this season. As for West Point, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Hayden at 7:00 p.m. on the 26th.
