Basketball Game Preview: Pymatuning Valley Lakers vs. Lakeside Dragons

Having just played yesterday, the Pymatuning Valley Lakers will jump right back in to play the Lakeside Dragons at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Pymatuning Valley had been on a three-game streak of scoring at least 55 points, but Geneva put an end to it on Tuesday. Pymatuning Valley was outmatched by Geneva and fell 65-29. The match marked the Lakers' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Lakeside was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 98-72 to Harvey. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Friday (55), the Dragons still had to take the loss.

Pymatuning Valley's loss dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Lakeside, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-17.

Pymatuning Valley didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Lakeside in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but they still walked away with a 72-68 win. Will Pymatuning Valley repeat their success, or does Lakeside have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
