Softball Game Preview: Jefferson J-Hawks vs. Harlem Huskies

Jefferson is 0-10 against Harlem since April of 2019 but things could change on Wednesday. The J-Hawks will host the Huskies at 5:00 p.m. Harlem took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Jefferson, who comes in off a win.

On Monday, Jefferson needed a bit of extra time to put away Boylan Catholic. They skirted past the Titans 3-2. That's two games straight that the J-Hawks have won by just one run.

Harlem had taken Rockford Auburn down for three straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Huskies fell 6-3 to the Knights.

Adriah Sholl was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Jefferson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 5-10 record this season. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of one runs across that stretch. As for Harlem, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-7.

Jefferson might still be hurting after the 10-0 loss they got from Harlem in their previous matchup back in May of 2024. Can the J-Hawks avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
